15 Days Leh motor biking tour (July-mid Sept)

This itinerary has been carefully designed to make your trip memorable and enjoyable. Stay at each place helps you to get properly acclimatized for the high altitude area. You will witness cascading rivers, lush green and high snow peaked mountains, incredible water falls, mountain desert, rich culture and high passes. This route is one of the toughest roads in the world and rightly very popular with bikers. It attracts thousands of biking lovers from all around the world every year.

DAY 1. Delhi. Arrive Delhi. Transfer hotel Pullman or equivalent. Temperature will be in 40s here. You will be taking rest in your air-conditioned hotel in the afternoon. Visit India Gate, Parliament House and President Palace in the evening. Overnight hotel.
Day 2. Delhi-Chandigarh. Take morning Shatabadi to Chandigarh, which leaves Delhi at 7.30am and arrives chandigarh at 11am. It is the only city in India which is well planned and very neat and clean, big parks and gardens all around. Transfer hotel. Here, you will get your motor bikes. Ride around the beautiful city to get used to your bike. The temperature will be high here. You will be able to visit famous Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake only in the evening. Overnight hotel Shiwalikview or equivalent.
Day 3. Chandigarh-Raison(260km) After early breakfast, start your journey
towards Raison. Today u will ride 7-8 hrs. It will be a combination of link roads and national highway. Stop for lunch at Mandi. Reach Raison in the evening. Overnight at Neeralaya cottages.
Day 4. Raison-Manali(2050m). After leisure breakfast, you will be riding to Manali today which is nearly just one hour ride.It is a spectacular ride full of nature and beautiful landscaping all around, river Beas flowing along side the road. Check into Banon resorts or equivalent. Explore Manali in the afternoon. Overnight hotel.
Day 5. Manali-Keylong(3349m) After early breakfast, start your journey for Leh. You will be staying overnight at Keylong, 115km from Manali, crossing Rohtang Pass (3950m). Overnight hotel.
Day 6. Keylong Sarchu-(4253m). It will be a  leisure ride today (105km). So we will start late after breakfast via Jispa by crossing Baralachla Pass (4670m). Conditions at this place are harsh due to high altitude. But there is no option for the travelers and only Swiss camps are available. Overnight camping.
Day 7. Sarchu-Leh(3400m) Today it is going to be a long ride, 250km, 8-9 hrs ride , crossing three passes,  Nakila Pass(4740m), Lachungla Pass (5019m) and the 2nd highest Talangla Pass (5360m). You will witness incredible landscaping in this area and you would like to stop regularly to admire the creation of God. Natural beauty which you see here, can be never found anywhere in the world. The passes are tough but as we cross the last pass, we come down to the spectacular valley. Reach Leh in the evening. Transfer hotel Shambhala or equivalent. 

Day 8. Leh. Rest day in Leh for acclimatization.

Day 9. Local sightseeing in Leh, covering Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Shey Monestary, Thiksey. Overnight hotel.

Day 1o.  Alchi. Ride to Alchi via Lamayuru (55km). Visit the famous monasteries. Overnight hotel.

Day 11. Ride back to Leh. Overnight hotel.
Day 12. Leh-Khardungala Pass-Leh. Ride to Khardungala Pass (5580m), 39km from Leh, world’s highest motorable road. Enjoy the breath taking view. After tea and light snacks, ride back to Leh. Overnight hotel.

Day 13. Pangong. You will be traveling in a cab to Pangong lake (150km). Drive back in the evening. Overnight hotel.
Day 14. Leh-Delhi. Take a morning flight to Delhi. Evening free for personal activities. Overnight Hotel Pullman or equivalent.
Day 15. Destination. Fly back your destination.
